About Ronald Davies (Montreal 1932-1982): Canadian artist, known for landscape paintings and wood carvings. Davies started painting at the age of 14 years old. After finishing school he worked in his father's landscaping business until he pursued his passion of painting. He was taught by Arthur Lismer, one of the Group of Seven Artists and exhibited paintings in Montreal galleries. His mother opened Davies House of Paintings, a very successful Gallery in Montreal, where Ronald exhibited and sold his paintings; also exhibited at several New England art shows with great success selling and won many awards.
