Vintage German smoker / incense burner (with a wind-up music box!) by Steinbach. This is a wonderful example of the charming and whimsical wooden folk art Steinbach is famous for!
We call him "Bird Watcher" because he's obviously a fan of our feathered friends! He watches over the family sitting on top (and within) the birdhouse he carries, and has an additional pair of birds in the bird cage hanging from his pole. The details are incredible-- handcrafted, intricate, and expertly done!
There's a bonus with this piece as well-- a wind-up music box within the birdhouse!
To use: The top half of his body lifts off to reveal the incense holder.
Place a cone of your favorite incense inside, and watch the smoke billow from his mouth. (Please note that incense is not included).
